Guys, Do I need to wipe down the exhaust with a stainless cleaner prior to installing it to my Pro Drive? The directions are saying to clean any marks prior to heating up because it will stain. It is pretty simple to install? Is heat shield left off or installed back? Thanks for the info. |

You're makin it more complicated than it is. It's gonna stain no matter what, just bolt it on there & be done with it. ![]() |

If you spray it down with something like Liquid Wrench Lubricating oil before ya crank it it will stain more evenly LOL |

U won't notice a few finger prints after u run it 20 minutes. The whole thing will look like crap. |

Stainless steel isn't. My duals stopped shining after the first run. Now they're just all rusted up with only 48 hours on them so don't make a big deal out of it. |

I found that if you wipe it down with alcohol, the shine will last longer but eventually will start to fade on the shinny ness, mine had 40hrs on it and it still shined |
