Just picked up a 24hp mud buddy long tail friday for $800 w/ 17 hours on it. Never driven one before anything I should expect? Tips to keep my dry on it's maiden voyage tomorrow? Thanks for the input and look forward to being part of the discussions. |

Bolted it to a 1648 monark, nothing special. Mounted headlights on it and a winch. Trying to get ready for duck season. Gonna try to figure out where to mount the seat and grab bar tomorrow. |

Take it low and slow until you learn the ropes. Wear your kill switch. Welcome to the world of mud motors! |

Thanks guys, I think its gonna take the duck huntin' to the next level. There were alot of mud motors where I'm from in Michigan, but down here, I bet I'm the only one within 100 miles with one. Should work to my advantage when duck season kicks on. |

That Monarch should be a good boat for that motor. |
