is it ok to hook the charger up on the battery with it still connected to the engine or do you need to undo connections before charging? |

Never unhooked mine to charge it. Course I charged mine in the daylight on a clear day. |

The 12v battery charger is really not that much different then the charging system on the engine, both have a built in 12 vot voltage regulator which shuts down the charging process once the battery reaches full charge. the only thing you might be changing are the amps. that being said it will not hurt anything in a 12 volt system. |
