I'm running a 17 x 50 flat with a GTR35. With 2 guys 165, 230, ice chest and fishing gear I run 26-27, and can hit 28 by myself. Whats you rpms?

size matters as does weight that does seem a little slow, move your weight around and work with the trim, there is a sweet spot and you will know when you find it. also, your hull isnt cupped is it, that will KILL your speed

i think he means hooked

hooked is a new one to me, but probably means the same. run over too many logs and the center of the boat is pushed up. this makes it suck to the water and holds your speep down, doeswnt matter much when takin off, but kills you on top-end. BIG PROBLEM in SC and sometimes hard to see. a long straight edge will tell u though. check and see
