I ordered the swamp light kit from gatortail and wanted to know does everyone run the lights from their motor battery or get a seperate one for the lights. The lights should pull around 9 amps but I am not sure what the motor pulls. Will the alternator provide enough power for the motor and lights or will I end up with a dead battery. I have a GTR motor.

Crankin' battrey want last long ifin' you are at idle lookin' fo frogs and such .... only a couple hours !!!! Ifin' you runnin' flat out or just idleling a few minutes in the early A.M. goin' DuckBird huntin' you will be awrite......just be shore you gots a good charge on the battrey 'fo goin' out that mornin' !!!

The matr-fact is ..... the chargin' systems on these MudMotorMachineThangs just flat out suck on all the brands and I wish RC, Hoyt, EVT, Stumpgrinders, BayouBoy, and or Rivers would put the invent on somethin' mo better !!!!! :D

Somebody will probably chime in and post up the old links to the battery discussions.

Bottom line, invest in some sort of a second/backup battery. Notice, there ain't no rope start for the GTR unless you got a 23
