 After market exhaust.
In Louisiana does anyone know of any rules and regs concerning after market exhausts on mudmotors? Specifically on WMA's. If you have any info please elaborate. Thnx

 Re: After market exhaust.
As long as u aren't trying to gain power above what is allowed on a specific WMA, it should not be a problem. We have some restrictions oh our leased land that 36hp isthe biggest. Got a letter advising not to mod the motor in any way or risk losing the lease. No exhaust, nothing.

 Re: After market exhaust.
I know a guy that has a lease in Hopedale and got a letter last year saying they will not allow surface drives on their land. If he had an issue with it they would refund his money and cancel the lease

 Re: After market exhaust.
Our lease has always had HP restrictions for mud boats. It is to keep from turning the marsh into open water. 10 years ago, 24 HP was the max power u could have in the marsh. As the air cooled motors have gotten larger, our HP restriction has gone up. From 24, to 32, and now at 36. I really feel that 36 is too much if the reason is to protect the marsh, but I don't make the rules. We can run anything we want in the Lilly filled canals and open water, just not in the marsh.
