I have a X2 Pro Drive Boat with no pedestal base. I have a rear seat storage and center bench seat with storage. The boat has flotation. I was thinking about buying a few from the sponsor who sells them. I was thinking about drilling some holes and bolting them to the dry storage areas, what do you think? The areas where I can't bolt it on like the floor and the front deck I was going to get it welded. Should I get it all welded or stick with my plan? Thanks for the info. Some bases that sold are pre drilled. |

Before you go putting big holes in your dry stg, PM BFenn & get him to send you a pic of his seat bases. They have a short "track" that they ride in, and are completely removeable, without having a big hole for water to run into. As for the floor, I'm thinkin about getting with Hillside also to have them make me some square based inverted pedistal mounts & srewing or bolting them thru the floor, into the runners. That way if I need to pull the floor out, I still can, but the seats will still be sturdy. |

you can weld the holes up on the bottom of the seat bases, and then just take a band saw and cut the seat post shorter so it fits it. that way its still water proof. |

Yea like team camo said they are aluminum. They either slide in or you flip the seat about halfway over stick the seat track into the mounted track and flip it over |

http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/store ... =581132421 These are the what I have on my small box seats and on my gun box. I went to my dealer and they had a 30" rail I think it was, may only be 24", and put it on the lip of the deck if ever hunting from the boat or even just when hanging out I can move my seat anywhere in the boat. |

That's the one. Use a swivel bracket in between that & the seat so it'll spin around. Sent from my Droid because I'm trying to be as cool as you someday. |

Yea that's what I did and don't even put the little thin strip they give you. I think it's pointless |
