Just purchased a 3 blade prop for my 35 GDSD, and just looking for any opinions or reviews on performance.

GD Kid, since you already forked over the cash for the 3 blade, tell us what you think about it.

Welcome to the site BTW 8-)

first thing I would do is bring it to a prop shop, a buddy of mine took his off his 35sd to have it check for balancing(not many hours and mostly open water), the balance wasn't bad but the rake and pitch of every blade was different. He call gd they told him that he could not bring the prop to anybody else that he had to send it to them, he told them its mine I'll do what I want with it. Seems like gd doesn't want anybody else to see how bad of a job they do building a prop.

The only difference was a smooth ride and better hole shot. Not really impressed as far as speed. I noticed a decrease in rpm's (3400). Will a MB big prop fit my GD?

the three blade is actually slower in deep water
by about 2 mph but as you saw has a better
holeshot and in the soft mud performs much better
especially on the 35 hp

you may have some speed left too if you work
your trim till it hits about 3800 to 3900

also has more lift so you may want to finess the
lower fins to apply extra downforce

good luck with it

I do get a better hole shot with my 3 blade and a little more on top. My 2 blades seem to do better in the really bad stuff but the 3 blade stays on most of the time. All are modified a little bit.

What kind of speeds are you getting with your set-up? Are you satisfied with with the EVT's stage 3?
