 Pd muffler
It looks like I need a new muffler, I'm thinking of not going stock......any recommendations? I don't have MODS currently but would like to in the near future.

So Far I lrealy like the B.P.S Cross Over that comes with the Silencer. They ran them for 2 yrs before it went into production and you can get one for $450 shipped. If you know the right person. Heres what it sounds like Without the silencer. http://vimeo.com/2706721

 Re: Pd muffler
Be carefull with EVT. There was a thread on here about them maybe only making them on a part time basis. I don't know the guys at EVT so I am not bashing them only know what I read. Might have a better waranty, but I would be concerned if they are not full time to support it.
I just bought a BP and will put on this winter. Very solid. Less expensive than EVT. I saw it on Mudds PD before I bought it and it sounded great. Got a great price from Mudd and I think he has a vid with it runnin.
Just my .02.

Yep, one year warrenty. That pipe has been run in one way shape or form for 2 yrs. Matter of fact it might suprise some folks who ran that pipe while it was being testing it. As of right now, If you know the right person, the BPS Crossover for the Vert motor can be had for more than $100 less. You decide what the warrenty is worth.

 Re: Pd muffler
Duck- I had problems with a Hopkins. It didn't line up right and the second one they sent didn't line up either. I hear the guys that have them like them but that was just my experience.
I run the EVT and it's great. They are first class guys and their products are quality. They are really into these motors and it shows.
If you want to put a stock one back on, I have my original in the garage. It only has a few hours on it.

 Re: Pd muffler
I got to know Mudd through Cutt-Down and he is a great guy. He talked me into going with the BPS on my duals even after i had told him i would buy his hopkins from him personally. I was running 27 with stock motors and after putting the BPS on i am now running 30.7 in deep water with 2 guys 5 guns, 5 shell bags and 2 huge bags of decoys on the front deck. Decoy bags rough weight just a guess would be close to 175 pounds or so. Boat is an 1860. I also likes the ease of putting them on no rejetting or anything just bolt and go!

 Re: Pd muffler
Didn't mean to bash EVT, not my intent. I could have put it a little better.

 Re: Pd muffler
i run a custom exhaust from a guy out of sc l/t preformance exhaust, i ran evt and this one and I rather the L/T its quieter with the same preformance gains as a evt.....its just a tad bit louder than stock http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l21/t ... 59f3be.jpg

 Re: Pd muffler
I'll say my piece and hopefully it won't sound like I'm bashing him... I'm on my third Hopkins Hogg and haven't been too impressed with them. the welds looks like shit, and I have a tendency to break them. I seem to be the only person with this problem, but I smack a lot of stuff withh my motor. It goes through some pretty hard hits on a regular basis, and it seems a Hopkins just won't hold up to the abuse. I think it would hold up fine for the majority of folks... butg if you run alot of stumps, I'd look elsewhere. If you need one for a 27 Kohler, I know where there's one on the bottom of Caddo Lake that needs a little bit of repair.
