Post subject:  Prodrive question

How do you romove a prodrive from the back of a boat. I have a lifting mecinisum but dont know where to lift it from and does anybody know what type of stand i can build to put it on. any help will help me out greatly and it yall have any pics please post them thank you

There's two lifting eyes... one's mounted to the front where ur vertical handle is bolted to da block, and one is on the rear on the valve cover.

I see u have a Kohler in ur sig.... don't specifically remember if da rear lefting eye is on da valve cover like da Briggs is, but da front one should be da same and der should be one in da rear somewhere opposite of da front one.

I looked at my motor but didnt see it can you take some pics of it or eplain it more because i just cant find it.

Should be 2 silver sheetmetal looking tabs with a hole in it. One on the front at the tiller and one on the back near the oil fill. Looks weak but its what you lift it with.

look at your avatar picture. The silver thing just to the right of the air filter cover is the lifting tab on that side of the motor. the other one is on the other side of the motor toward the front left side of the engine block.

i can lift it from the motor because when i bought the motor they had alumnium blocks that sliped on both sides of the clutch.
