got a 7 month old 23 LA mud special, which is still under warranty. you have seen my questions about loss of power, idling problems slow cranking. WELL I finally am getting to the bottom of it. FINALLY got a briggs repair shop to test it and now find out that the timing is very low. WELL as u know, duck season is in full swing and guess who DOESNT HAVE A MOTOR got a trip to LA planned for thursday and it looks like im gonna be HUFFING A PIROGUE for the entire trip. the shop had it for 2 weeks and still dont know why the timing is low and burning valves. presently, the motor is in a million peices in a box . this is the 6th time its been worked on for this problem. now its time to see what mudbuddy is gonna do. they just reground the valves 3 weeks ago because it had 60 lbs compression and within 5 hrs it was back to 60 lbs again. Ill keep yall informed on this situation. I thought about buying a used longtial to use on this trip and then keep 4 a spare. if u know of one 4 sale, PM me thanks |

Tell the repair shop guy to adjust the flywheel to pick the timing back up, or get a new set of coils... is the key for the flywheel in backwards? |
