I’d like to thank the Boat Doctor & let people know about my first and recent service that I thought was excellent. I had a charging problem; didn’t have time to deal with it; wanted to get it fixed right asap in the middle of the season & a couple another items done – value adjustment & new boot covers. The Boat Doctor returned my message left Saturday on Monday near 8 am. After going over the problem & my motor, he said he was 99% he could have it ready by Thursday afternoon. I dragged it to him a few hours later & he called just 5 hours after that same day – it was ready. They said it was lucky/unusual how it worked out for me. A bolt head also sheared off while doing the valves – something that would have been a complete disaster for me – and was able to perfectly drill it out. I thought the service was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Boat Doctor Rocks!!! Thanks |

I keep hearing good things, my motor is creeping up on 50 hours. Think I need to bring it in there to get a good service, check belt tension, etc. This forum is motivating me to take it to them rather than haul it all the way up to Baton Rouge. |

went hunting yesterday & the engine ran awesome - thanks again boat dr. they mentioned something interesting to me while i was there - a good solution to the saltwater problems many people experience with these engines is to completely replace the electrical parts that often fail every 4-5 years - the whole wiring harness, the key switch, not sure what else, but i think they said it's ~$200. that sounds like a good idea to me b/c it's not that much & i need my shiot to work when i'm in the middle of nowhere. |
