Go to IWS there in Houma and get some of those heavy duty weld-on hinges. The big ones well work, but still confirm the weight ratings on the box..

On the other side, weld on some cylinders like on a drop trailer so as you can drop a pin to secure it.

The bolt on ones are okay, but I question their strength because they are cast.

that would work, but rather build something myself so i know its not gonna break, dont trust cast enough. that kit looks a lil shabby, but atleast now i know its doable. the review is funny as hell

I need to do the same to my trailer. Some where I saw a product that was just the hinge. Cut the tongue off, then bolt it back onto the hinge instead of getting a new tongue. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Need to order a hinge on the internet, or make my own. Need some pics.
