 Electrical Question
I aint no electricial FE, so here goes.....
I have an old battery charger that I would like to use for my battery under the front deck. It runs everything in the boat except for the motor. It's kind of hard to get to, so I was wondering if it would work to put a male 12V plug on the charger and plug it into the female 12v accessory plug that goes to the same battery????

 Re: Electrical Question
it'll work, but only up to da capacity of da wiring going to da plug. just make sure ur polarity is correct.

 Re: Electrical Question
A regular 12V accessory plug is rated for 10A (fuse is in it). If you stay below that and your wiring is large enough for your run you should be OK. If you up-fuse that accessory male plug and put over 10A into it, the plug will melt (don't ask me how I know this ).

 Re: Electrical Question
You have a trolling motor run off the battery? Does it have a plug? Use that. If not, wire a trolling motor plug and use it, plenty of capacity.
