Well lav's we made more for fording rivers than amphibious landings. since they added the extra up armored kits the props are more for looks now. They sink. |

That is true, they are not equal to the AAV. I was just thinking along the line of personal & supply carrying while be being land and still fording flooded areas. But with all the up armor......they become sinkers. |

actually there would be no America right now if it wasn't for amphibious landings. The army does not necessarily need them because marines do it better. |

Although I'm a diehard Marine, the army has completed more amphibious landings than the Marine Corps. But agreed the Marines do them better. |

I went to the new war museum in N.O.L. And the reason it was put there is to honor the Higgins boat it was made in L.A . They say with out those boats the war might not have been won and it cut the time of the war in half. Verry cool place to visit if you have never been there. |
