Quick question can someone tell me what the spacing on the rivets on their floor is at? Specifically anyone with a phowler or TMT. I'm finishing my floor and just want to get it right. I believe it is 6 inches apart on the runners.

Thanks.

I agree, I guess I figured I would rather have more then less. Based on what I have in the three main panels that would work out to 30 per panel. There are 5 runner and I've set them 1" off the edge of each panel then every six inches after that, the math seemed to work out best with that. I was just looking for what the manufacturer standard was? Since we aren't talking any real weight difference it's just the install that will take a bit longer. Anyone else have a boat they could take a look at?

Thanks

Yah sure. Every 12 inches. I have an Aucoin boat. So do 200 other people here on the site.

Lets see. I have 11' of planing surface, plus a foot of rake untill my floor dead ends at my gas tank. That is 12' I have 6 runners. 6 times 12 equals 72.

There you have it.

Why not just screw it down wit stainless self-tapping screws?

I would say stick with rivets and here's why:
Eventually the srews will back out from vibration. When you put a self-tapper back in there, it won't seat as tightly as the previous one unless you step up in size.
With rivets, they won't back out. If you shear the head off, you can go right back with the same sized rivet in the existing hole.
