I've got an 08 model and the last two times I've ran it I blew the fuse. The first time it was only a few min before it blew the second time maybe an hour. I was leaving for out of town the second time so I have not spent much time looking into it just seeing if anyone else has had this while I was still out. Thanks.

I blow fuses in my truck periodically, so should I just buy a bicycle?

Every + line off the battery should be fused or protected from a direct short in some way on any motor. Not protecting the wire is a fire hazard and sure seems like a bad idea to me.

It's all good - he can just reverse all the way - or at least
until the plastic shroud bursts into flames ---- LOL

Changed fuse twice, on the water, probably a good 10-12 seconds downtime.

$6 fuse holder will most likely solve my issue ( 4-6 min labor)
