| Post subject: | 5 Gallon Surplus metal "Jerry" gas cans. |
Used to be able to find them all over for like $5 a piece. Having a tough time finding any at all, and the ones I am finding are rediculously priced. If anybody comes across some cheap, please let me know. I'm looking for two of them for a project I'll be starting soon. I appreciate it. |

Look at the Jeep guys. they tend to use them alot and they might be willing to part with them or know where to get them for a decent price. |

good luck, I am one of the "jeep guys" and we have been paying 40-120 for them for the past couple years. Its ridiculous! I need a couple myself for my 7 so if you happen upon a bargain let a brother know. |

Try sportsmans guide they have a military surplus section. I have seen them there. Also try govliquidation.com you will have to register to bid, they had a lot that had more than 50 to a pallet starting bid is $150. |

I ended up talking to a guy who owns a surplus store about a half hour away from my house, and he said that unfortunately, the grand poobahs in Albany made gas cans that aren't 100% retard-proof illegal here. Same with some of the surrounding states. Can't even buy the nozzles. I've got a friend heading to another state in nearby New England next weekend who's going to try to find some for me. Apparently the politicians in that state don't have their heads quite so far up their asses. Guess it's illegal for companies to even ship them here. I'm not even going to be using them to hold gas. Friggin rediculous. Welcome to the police state. When gas cans are outlawed, only outlaws will have gas cans. |

Sort of. Looking for the surplus ones, because I'm going to be hacking it up. No point in spending 80 or 100 bucks on something I'm going to be cutting in half. Used to be able to find the surplus ones for 5 bucks a pop. |
