Hey guys, It is time to get new trailer tires. I have a Sportsmans Trailer, and I think they are 13". What kind of tires do you recommend? Right now it has Carlisle tires on it, and they didn't seem to last very long. So, what is the best trailer tire for these trailers? Thanks for the help. |

I put some regular car tires on mine and haven't had any problems with them and got the warranty so if I get a blow out they will replace it. |

Whatever you do, do not replace with carlisle. I got some interco trailer tires in New Iberia for $98 for the pair maounted and everything. They have been on a while and I've had no problems. |

Tow Master supposed some real good tires. Had them on another trailer of mine and never had any problems. When the ones on this new trailer need replacing, those are what I'm gonna go with. |

Marathon is the best there is. Overkill for an aluminum but the best. A quality auto tire is really all you need. |

I agree with River. The Marathons by Goodyear are at the top of the list. That's what I roll on the trailer for the bass boat. I just didn't mention them because, like River said, they are overkill for the aluminum. Not to mention, they are at least $130 a tire. |

You can get the Goodyears at Sam's and they were definitely less than $130 a tire. I want to say I paid $180 with tax for 2 of them but I had them mounted elsewhere. They were 175/85/13 I think. |

Whatever you do RDR dont go to walmart and mention tires are going on a trailer if you are looking for just some cheap passenger car tires. Trailer tires in the same size as passenger car tires are going to be quite a bit more expensive. And I guess Walmart has a liability issue and wont allow passenger tires to be put on trailers. |

I had Radial car tires on my last mud rig trailer. They were new and had blow out on both sides causing major damage to the fenders and wiring.Went to Tire shop and the guy told me .The reason they did this was from the trailer bouncing down the highway. That the sidewalls of the passenger tire can not handle bouncing. They will come apart where the tread meets the sidewall.I will NEVER use them again.I-10 is a biatch on these tires. |

I ordered those from the tirerack a few years ago and everything was great. I would have ordered them again, but like I said, Sam's had them cheaper. |
