Re: 16Hp Dixie SD on 1542?
been having my dixie for a few months now with zero problems. there are a few dixie owners on here that will tell you the same. dixie is a good product with the best customer service ive seen in a while. after i received my motor i got a couple calls from ben just to see how i liked it. for some reason a select few of the pd and gtr followers will tell you they are junk and have never even seen one.

Re: 16Hp Dixie SD on 1542?
I'm not familiar with those problems mentioned above and talk mud motor every day. I would know if that was the case. A 16 is going to be ok on that rig will not break no speed records but you will go places. A 16 is $2650 new so it depends on how good a deal your getting. I would want a 23 hp eventually.

Re: 16Hp Dixie SD on 1542?
I have run my Dixie's without one minute of trouble and I beat the everliving piss out of um.
You say you had trouble then say you got another one to correct the problem. What other company will do that for you?
As far as design change its progression and building the best product for your money. I will never own nothing but a Dixie. You just dont find many companies that do everything in there power to keep you satisfied.

Re: 16Hp Dixie SD on 1542?
My last one was in the 200 range. My new is well brand new but no dought it will go just as long. Unless i over spin the motor with stock rockers and push rods.

All 3 i reckon. Mine had that many hrs put on it in about 6 months. No trouble what so ever other than getting a tank full of bad gas.

Re: 16Hp Dixie SD on 1542?
So Dixie made it right for you. Got you a new motor. What other company would do that? Then you sell it and every Dixie tread that comes up you have something to say. What are you running now? Do you have a mud motor.Lets here about your new motor.
