OK so we went frogging Fri. nite, noticed reverse lever was really low. Suspected low fluid. Small town near camp, could only find DOT 3 brake fluid. Filled reservoir with DOT 3, reverse lever came back up, worked fine all nite. What damage have I done with the DOT 3? Should I flush the system and replace with DOT5? What should I use to flush if so?

i dont know what kind of damage u did if any . u can flush it with new fluid

OK, so to close up this post. Called Hoyt this am and he said it most likely had DOT3 from GT when I bought it. He tells me that they will most likely be changing the manual from DOT5 to 3.

Shouldn't be a problem, but I did see on the www where you can't mix the 5 with the 3. Causes some kind of gelling problem. Anyway, I didn't do any damage to my Reverse

If I remeber right the only difference is temp rating between dot 3 and dot 5.
