Poly is much heavier and has to be bolted on in most cases. It wears better but gator glide is the way to go for mud rigs IMO |

I really like my polymer bottom. I feel like I could hit a RR spike and still maybe be ok. MAYBE... |

We painted the bottom of our boat this year and it made a huge difference in running through the really heavy trash. It definitely does not hold up like a polymer as it will scrape of in rocks or oysters but definitely worth the effort. |

I have poly on my airboat and GG on my Gtr. I'd say they're about the same slick wise. Poly is hands down way more durable though. |

Often wondered if the poly would be a good option if ya had a nice boat with a forked up bottom. |

I guess with the right prep work it could be glued on a mudboat. Ive never seen it glued on an airboat though. |

I've run both, the GatorGlide is 10 times slicker. I ran an 11' airboat with poly and my 14' with the GatorGlide. The 14' will run circles around the 11' and use less fuel. Poly is great for running down gravel roads but when it get stuck it's stuck. Polly ad allot of protection and weight. Everything is a trade off, more weight less performance. I sold the 11' , never ran it anymore. |
