Thinking about adding wedges to lift the back. Any ideas? The boat runs good, but would like to run flatter. |

Is it porpoising? If so try adding a little weight up forward first before adding wedges. |

need to know more about how your boat is doing... wedges are great, but only for the right application |

Took my wedges off within 12 hours of putting them on. Pushed the nose down into the water too much, spray coming over the bow on the slightest ripples. The wedges were only 1/2" Did not like them. Robbed me of about 3-4 mph also. Just gonna put a little more weight in the front to keep from porpoising. |

Seems like they help on some boats and not so much on others. My boat used to porpoise bad and ride low in the back, and they solved all my problems. I really did not see a loss in speed either. Others have reported opposite effects. I believe Bayou Boy on here had them on his boat and saw positive results. It was his post on the old forum that helped make my mind up to add them. You may want to get some solid wedges or some thick angle and start at 1/2" thick. Go run it and grind off a little at a time until you get the ride that you're looking for. Hope this helps. |
