I need to buy new boat numbers because the other ones are coming off/ripped, etc. When I put these on the original camo numbers they would not hold very well at all and ended up spraying some 3m stickum on them and that did not work well either on the Phowler boat.

Any suggestions on which numbers to buy? Are there some that adhere better to hull than others? My old ones did not last but 4 yrs? I know of someone that cut a metal plate and riveted it to both sides and slapped the numbers on that instead of directly to the boat.

IDK, but I don't want to have to go thru this bs every few years.

I go to the local sign printing shops. They always have a letter machine and get my numbers cut for about 15 to 20 bucks a set.

Go to the parts house and get a stencil kit, think I paid 5$ for mine plus a can of paint put me at a grand total of 7$ that can of paint will do a lot of boat numbers

Order them from Tony on the MMT store. You can choose a bunch of styles, and they come ready to stick on in one big strip. REALLY easy, and they look great. You can do it from your computer and don't have to go anywhere to find or buy stuff.

Here's the address to the boat numbers in the MMT Store:

What do you guys think about me offering number stencils for those who wish to paint their numbers on? They could be offered in the same styles but in a stencil?

Sounds good to me, I'll be adding them, give me a few days and they'll be up.

These stencils would be just like a decal, but in reverse. It's not the same as those poster board ones that you can reuse. With these you would get a set of two and once you use them you can't use them again being they're just like decals and when you peel them off, they come off like a decal and you can't reuse.

They would also cost the same as there's the same amount of work in making them as a set of decals.

How do you remove the glue on the boat from the previous numbers when you change them out without removing paint? Or do you not worry about, take the old numbers off and slap on the new ones?
