Post Wanting some advice!!!
I currently am running an 1860 tracker grizzly boat with dual pro drives. I am looking at trading my boat and trailer and another motor i have for an 09 phowler 1860 and trailer. What i'm wanting to know is what you guys opinion on pro's and con's of this trade as in am i going to like the phowler better? is it going to perform better and is the boat going to be worth being without a boat for a few weeks as well?

I may be a little biased, however, I run an 1860 Phowler with a single 36, and love it! However I think my next one will be a 2060 with duals. The Mud Doc has one in the show room right now painted flat black with brown realfoot grass, and it is sharp! I may be able to find some pics of it somewhere??

I still can't figure out how to post pics so here is a link to a folder in my Photobucket. Bunch of pics from the Outdoor festival in Oshkosh last year. That 2060 with the dual 36's is in some of the pics.

I love my 1860, drafts about 4 inches of water, and I can plane 4 Fat A$$es, a blind and a chit ton of gear and still do around 18-20 mph. The 1860 is not something you want to get if you are looking for speed, however, they don't get much better for load handling.

The last dual rig the Mud Doc had was an Phowler 1860 with 32's and we had 11 guys in that and still doing 22 mph. I believe that boat had a top end with one guy of about 32-33 mph. You may want to check for a review on the old site, I am sure there is one on there.

When you say shallow you mean 6 inches or so cause anything deeper than that i am good. So Tim i'm about to send you a couple of motors for the Mikuni Carbs and EVT intake!

Are you keeping both PD's on this new boat? You stated a trade for the boat trailer and ANOTHER motor??? IF you are staying with the duals on the 18/60 phowler you will have a hellofa rig!!

Where you from? If you can run is 6" hard bottom you are good with the hull you got. they trading you hull for hull? If you close to TX come put them on my hull and ill cut you a deal.

I think the phowler will last longer with the combo you got, but nothing wil be cheaper than what you already worn.......thats my 2 cents.
