800 hrs between my 2 motors same covers. 600 on my single same cover. You use the reverse lever right you won't have issues. If your cover is getting hot not only are you fucking up your cover you ain't getting full reverse!! |

Post subject: | Re: who builds aluminum clutch covers? |
I'm pretty sure this has to to with the heat from a "Crossover" exhaust |

Post subject: | Re: who builds aluminum clutch covers? |
The MM should have a heat shield on the bottom barrel. The Crossover outlet points right at the top corner of the cover, sometimes causing it to melt. Takem no longer does the covers, at least that's what I've heard. Instagator911 was planning some, not sure if it's still on the table or not. |

Post subject: | Re: who builds aluminum clutch covers? |
I drilled the holes bigger and added two holes in the middle it guess that allow more heat out of it |

Post subject: | Re: who builds aluminum clutch covers? |
Brady to be honest if your making heat in there, something isn't right. |

Post subject: | Re: who builds aluminum clutch covers? |
I not making heat I still have my stock cover , just to be precautionary is why there are extra holes |

Post subject: | Re: who builds aluminum clutch covers? |
It only really affected it on very long consistent running but it did melt it, just from the main barrel |

I bought an aluminum cover and sold it without putting it on. I've had clutch cover issues but none from reverse. The first cover took a direct impact from someone's bow at a ride. The other time I had an exhaust malfunction that did a number on the cover. |

For the amount of time it would take to build some covers, its gonna b hard to don't someone to make em and sell. I'm guessing that's why the last guy stopped making them. They are nice to have just cause they look better I think than the stock one. GT should just build em and put em on stock. Would make life a lot easier for alot of people. |

I have an idea in my head to make the design look sweet instead of a square cover, I'll work on it to make sure the clearances are right |
