I want to get a new weed whip/brush cutter. Both these models can accept string heads, grass blades and wood cutting circular saw blades. Both have bike handles. The Stihl has their 4mix engine (sounds like 4-stroke but uses 50:1 mixed oil--I don't know the details exactly how it works). Anyone know anything about these engines?? I have a Stihl chainsaw and I'd like a brush cutter that uses same gas:oil mix. Opinions? |

I have the stihl 90 not sure if it is the FS or not. Just be sure you dont get the one with the alum shaft. You can not use the brush cutter with it. |

I got a Stihl FS 90 and FS 130 the 130 has gobs of power, the 90 has a lot and does fine with a brush cutting blade for me. |

I have a stihl 90. It starts. It cuts weeds. I hate using it. Only reason I got a stihl is because all my stuff is stihl and I didn't want to have to take it to another place when it fucks up. It's a weed eater. Not rocket science. |

Still or echo... Nothing else compares. My dad supervises a lawn care company and owns a tree service. So we know a thing or two about them. But that's just my .02 |

Just bought the Stihl FS90 on the way home from work. Put on the circular saw blade and went through cotton wood saplings like butter. Thanks for the replies. |

I have a stihl 250r..its a little overkill for the house and yard but great for cleanin out around the pond and cutting trails to my deer stands in bow season |

Have u ever used a 250? It's stihls chain saw on a weedeater frame..it's stout as hell..I've cut down brush with the string with wire embedded in it |

I had a lawn service through high school and college so I could justify it...I still have the thing and it runs like a champ..get the biggest you can and you'll be happy |

I use the stihl HS45 series. Thing is a beastand can fit in a gun box. If we're talkin for hunting use. |
