I have a mud buddy 7000, twin carbs etc. When running about 4300rpms, I still have alot of throttle. When I open it further my motor makes a slight popping noise. I thought I had a coil problem because I had a wire that had rubbed through, so I replaced it. Could my rev limiter be faulty and be kicking in too soon. Help! |

unplug the rev limiter and see if the problem is still there. |

If I remember right there are 3 wires, red, black, and green. Should be able to unplug any of the 3 to temporarily take it offline. |

you can cut the green wire and put a quick disconnect in there. that way u can reconnect it without tools Sent from my iPhone using 2 somewhere in the swamp |
