I have a 1448 Lowe mod-v Jon with a SWOMP 23 on it. With a fishing load and 2 guys I get on plane good and quick. With the hunt load and two guys it won't get up. I've played with moving around the weight with minimal results. I kind of feel like I'd be happier with a 1648. You boys think I would get on plane easier with that extra 2 ft of length when I have 2 guys and a hunt load in the boat? Get the 1648 with the flat front not the mod v. The flat creates lift especially when carrying a load. My buddy as that boat with a 35 BW on it with 3 guys and gear it's a turd. He ran it on my flat front cuz he didn't believe me, now he's looking for one.
