HELP!!!

I've got a friend that just bought a 23 briggs and wants to run his fuel tank to the front of his 18' go-devil boat. He was told by MB that he needs to get another fuel pump if he's going to run it that far??? Is that true? I ran a 25 Kohler with a fuel line for 20' and didn't have an issue. I know I know Kohlers aren't Briggs but I'd like to get him an answer...

some motors run fine other don't, just depends on the motor.
try it w/o and if it is starving then get a fuel pump.

I'm pretty sure that Gator-Tail puts a electric fuel pump with all the 23 they sale!!

I really dont know man. Only time I ever had any RPM trouble wit mine I had a dirty carb. It would rev way up out of the water but when I put the prop in the water it only ran on one cylinder. It was one side of that lil 2 bbl carb had trash in it and when the motor got under a load that side would starve for fuel. I dont think thats your problem tough. Are ya sure the throttle is opening all the way?

I got a 23 lt with the tank in the front of my 15ft boat and have never had a problem.

I was also told not to run any bigger than 1/4 inch fuel line with that long of a run. If so, your fuel pump on the motor would not be strong enough to pull that much fuel. Then you would need another fuel pump.

if it runs bad pump the bulb if it clears up add a pump
