 Trolling Motor Plug
Can anyone recommend a good trolling motor plug? Is there such a thing? I'm wanting to put one accessory plug on the front of my boat for a winch, headlights, or a trolling motor...depending on the situation. I plan on running 6 gauge wire up to it. I'm looking at these 2: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=truehttp://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=trueI don't plan on using a trolling motor very often, and hopefully I won't need the winch very often...but I would like to have them all easily interchangeable. Thanks...

I like the Connect Pro plug. I think the best you can do is mount it horizontally if possible to help keep water out. But I have not had any problems with them over the years. I have them on my HH lights and winch too so I can just plug in either at the bow or at the stearn.

 Re: Trolling Motor Plug
I went to academy and bought a standard trolling motor plug (male surface mount) and bought three female (cable connector) and wired then to my trolling motor, lights, and winch cables. It works great! Has a spring lid that keeps crap out of it. They where like 15 bucks a piece. I looked for the link but cant find them online.

I'm asking because I've used these before, but they did not maintain a good connection: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=true

Yea, screw that old one and get that connect pro. I just installed that one on my bow and seems pretty sturdy. Just havnt really put the testing to it yet.

 Re: Trolling Motor Plug
use 110 AC plugs for everything in my boats.... cheap, easy to install/replace, and effective.
