I am running a Mikuni now on a 36 PD but no heads or aftermarket muffler. I am about to get a muffler (probably a Marshmellow) and was wondering what performance gains I will get since I am already running the carb. I love the Mikuni but I just think it's being held back by my stock muffler. I am running between 4100-4200 now with a normal load. |

Changing your exhaust will allow your engine to breath a little better although the performance gains are minimal. |

Or you may want to check with the custom pin puller manufacturer. ![]() |

In the past, I have tried to bid on that invention and practically begged the Custom Pin Puller for one of the devices with no luck. It is a highly sought after product but will become obsolete when I patent my Jockey Reverse Puller. Now back to the subject at hand. I know an exhaust alone won't give me much gains but what I don't know is how much my carb is being held back because of the stock exhaust. I guess I will have to find out and let y'all know since it seems most people get the exhaust first. |

i recently took my evt exhaust off and went back to stock for noise reasons and saw a dramatic difference in low end power. It lost all the hole shot and seems to load up before it takes off. I will def have a performance exhaust again in the near future. Just shopping for the quietest one with good performance. |

That's an acceptable jacking. If anyone knows where to find a quiet woman that also performs well, I would be willing to trade my boat and my current woman. She is the loud model. |

the gecker exhaust gave me at least 200 rpms, almost 2 mph,and verrry noticable bottom end throt.response.i aint breakin no speed records(whiskey + cypress swamp stumps=hooks on bottom) but glad to be back to 28mph.with the hooks,i was down to 26.something. i chose to go with the exhaust first,no regrets.prolly gonna get the adapter and air filter, maybe jets thats all,oh yeah and some steelflex. also,i aint no gecker a$$ kisser but the pipes sound awesome.not too loud, even wide open.havent tried them without the baffles yet.ordered them tues.received them thurs. the tips do get wet when coming off step though,it sizzles a bit.
