What boat/motor combo would you buy and why? The last mud rig I had was a 20hp GDLT and also had the 27hpGDSD on a 1542 War Eagle. The SD was a darn fine motor but we all know them WE aint built for what we run in. Im selling one of my fishing boats after our tourny season ends in Feb(may sell in Jan) and saving to buy another mud rig. I hunt timber and usually by myself or just me and buddy so small skiff/rouge is ok. Prefer it to be a basic boat with maybe 1-2 extras, trailer and a good motor. Would like to say no boat over 16.5ft what yall think? I graduate school in May and start my career so Im going to sell my G3 crappie rig and put that $$$$ as a down payment and finance the rest(new boat and build credit at same time right ![]() Any suggestions? |

for what you described a little 17-18' skiff with a 27 would be perfect. If u decide u want a bigger motor I'd get sumthin 18-20'. only way to really know what u need is to get out der and do sum demos. Demos are free. Anyone who buys a MM rig just by what dey read on da internet is a dumbass and deserves da POS dey may end up with. good luck. |

Your right stump. I know a 1538 skiff would be perfect, I use to run a 1542 WE with a 27GDSD and it was perfect except for the fact that a War Eagle boat isnt made for a mm as we all know. Does accoin still make rigs? |
