I got the new rig and i have put about 7 hours on it and I wont to put a new muffler on it. I have a 35 gtr and I was just wondering what everyone was running and how you like the sound.

Let me know how you like the Marsh Mellow exhaust, that is the one I was thinking of getting. Is there one out there that is the style of the Marsh Mellow but you can adjust the sound?

To comment on what was said above about the brackets breaking on EVT exhaust. I have never heard of a bracket breaking but I had a baffle break on the inside of mine and it was no problem I shipped off the old one to EVT and they replaced it...

I've seen a broken bracket like what was mentioned above... I've broken my stock brackets noticed that when I was removing the exhaust.

Run the stock exhaust in SS if your worried about "loud" sound... I've never had an issue with "scaring" away ducks to never return...

I usually arrive to my spot at least an hour before shooting time.

We build our own, Using Bisquit style replacement mufflers you can buy for about $6.00 at your local lawn mower shop. We use the header flanges off stock exhaust, and weld a 1"x3" long pipe nipple to it. Then using a 1" pipe coupling screwed on to it, we screw in a 1"x2" nipple into coupling. Then muffler is screwed on . We have built about 3 dozen sets of these for our hunting buddies with good results. We've put them on all makes of mudmotors and they last about 2 seasons. A few of the guys said they picked up a couple hundred rpm after installing them.??? They sound about like a Harley Sportster from a distance. Total cost about $20.00.

Brads, I wish I had the capability to send photos,I have had probably a hundred inquiries about this muffler fix. My buddies and I got tired of replaceing stock and performance exhaust systems do to broken welds and brackets. This system doesn't use any kind of bracket. Flange bolts hold header pipe and muffler, the whole System doesn't weigh much more than a pound per cyclinder, and the replacement mufflers are cheap and easy to replace, Just screw them on the threaded pipe nipple. I carry a extra set of mufflers in my boats tool box, in case one of them blows out. I have had to replace mufflers twice on my Big Block Van which has 220 hrs on it. The mufflers I use are rated for 12-16Hp single cyclinder Briggs engines, and are sold by O'rielys auto parts.
