Post electrical wiring issue
Added a side console to hold some new switches, 12v plugs and other shit. Not quite finished. The switches I added are: bilge, running lights, interior lights (led rope light under catwalk) and a trim switch. I really like the trim switch so while I'm running, I don't have to turn around to operate it. I ran a power and a ground from the battery to feed the switches. Jumper all the hots and grounds. Ran switched power to all existing items. I also ran trim wires to the trim solenoids to operate it. Everything works great. But here's my issue, I noticed that yesterday, while operating the trim on both the console and on the handle, my Tach would read some rpms. This tach, the trailtech TTO, doesn't have a ground like the tiny tach. Its never done this before, and just started when I added all the switches. I suspect its a ground issue that's causing it, but not sure.

Do you have the circuit fused? How does that trail tach wire up?

Yes they do. Had one on my briggs. Starting acting up. They set another no problem. But it was fine till I tied in the wires. Something seems like it's back feeding. I'll pull the new wires off and just try the existing trim switch.
