Just have to find someone willing to sell you a frame.

Swapped a 23 onto a MB Frame a few years back. I also tried to get a GTR frame for a 27 Kohler, but was told it wasn't cost effective even tho they use to offer the GT with a Kohler. So I think I'm just gonna have MWSC build me up a 25/27 PD instead.

My first mudmotor was a 2004 18hp MB Hyper, short transome frame, after two seasons and 120Hrs we swapped motor out for 35 Van Big block on the 18hp frame. We had to modify motor mounting plate by adding 1/1/4"x3/16" strap steel to both sides and front of mount. Also had to relocate tiller bracket away from motor. Big blocks motor base hole spacing is wider and longer, so we had to add the strap steel to accomodate this. We also had to modify the frame the belt housing bolts to, by elongating the the holes. Big block is 1" taller at shaft center than small block. Belt tensioner bolt bracket needed modded also. We ordered new upper gear from MB to replace 32T 18hp gear, with a 36T. We have 230Hrs on this swap and it Has beentrouble free. We have also modified 9Hp GD Crawfish model to 29hp Big Block Van. This swap was a lot of fun, And a challenge.
