So I've narrowed it down to two sound systems for my boat, either wet sounds sound bar, or two wake board tower speakers to mount on my polling platform, what yall think? Them speaker bars are pricey lol

The wetsounds give a good clean sound but are on the quieter side compared to some speakers. If you are able to mount them on the bow pointed at you then you are good but the sound level drops off pretty quick as get out of main alley for the sound. I know that sounds like a pretty common sense answer but it's not as noticeable with other speakers, IMO. If you have the money to play with, the wetsounds look good are compact. But if you're budgeting then I would go with the mounted platforms. Any particular speaker you're looking at for the mounted option?

The sound bar and the tower speakers would both be mounted on my polling platform right by my head. If I go wake board tower speakers, it will be jbl audio or Rockford Fosgate.

I cant remember off the top of my head on the amp. I got the double ended 6.5s w/ 5.5s that shoot out the back.

not really many options, I don't have cat walks and my gas tank takes up all the space under my deck

I think it was around 250 for speakers and clamps. Amp was about 200.

Lets put it this way, if I had a poling platform, I would have done had tower speakers and amp setup in my boat. You will easily be able to hear them loud and clear with it being so close to your head. Fish the wires thru the poling tube and use quick connects for the wiring that way can easily be taken off if you dont need the platform for that day.

Oh yeah Itll be way loud over the MM. My Looney Tuned exhaust duals are pretty freaking loud, and can still hear just fine.

6 speakers vs 10 speakers... The 10 is quite a bit louder

Post subject:  Re: Stereo system for boat

I want the 10 but I measured under my front deck and there's no way the 10 will fit so I'll be going with the 6. Hope it's loud enough.
