Gents
I'm wanting to know what your thoughts are and what some of y'all are doing. I just ordered a riptide 70lb 24V for my GTR 35 1754 X. Did you guys just add one battery and bridge it to your current "starter" battery or did you all add two additional batteries which would give you three in total?

Thanks in advance for the reply's

Run 3 batteries. You don't want your TM running your starting battery down.

WEA is 100% correct.....need 2 completely separate batts to run that TM.

If that start battery ever goes "click" when you turn the key, you're screwed.

Little off topic but not really, do any of you run two starting batteries, with one of the cut off switches that are like 1, 2, or both for extra insurance so you never have a dead battery?

I will have a trolling motor on my rig im about to order (unsure of voltage yet) and was wondering about the start batteries too

Yea definitely run two batteries just for trolling motor, I would suggest the interstate deep cycles based on my experience with the ones I bought last year and the price tag is nice as well. make sure you put your depth finder or graph whatever you run on your starting battery or you may get some interference when you are running the trolling motor.
