As I get older I hate winter more and more. I really like going out into my shop and building stuff, welding, reloading, drinking beer and frying fish. If it was around 50 degrees or so during the winter I could get so much more done. I feel like I am wasting days of my life waiting on spring. I welded outside today in 10 degree weather and hated every minute I was out there. When I retire [soon] I am going to have to move south somewhere. |

Yup this shit sucks. Kids school was shut down most of last week. I was starting to get cabin fever so I went squirrel hunting....in the damn snow. I hate the snow. |

Yep, these winters are getting old. I'm 60 years old and the older I get the less I like these LONG winters. At least MOST of you guys don't have to strap on snowshoes to venture into the woods. I did that a few days ago and it wasn't much fun.  My wife says we'll soon be looking for a place to spend some time down South each winter, for a couple months, just for the last half of January and all of February and the first half of March. Someplace where we can park the fifth wheel and do a little fishing and bowfishing. Someplace where the water doesn't harden up. Any suggestions?

Your northerners can come and live at my camp during Feb and March. Not much fishing or hunting this time of year so it's under utilized. Netman, you could pay for the whole expense of traveling and living here by crawfishing. It's really a paradise here in Louisiana. |
