Advantages of foot on trailer jack??

 Advantages of foot on trailer jack??I just bought a larger utility trailer and it came with a trailer jack that has a flat foot. All my other trailers have had a trailer jack with a wheel. I'm toying with the idea of cutting it off and replacing it with a caster wheel like this one:

Re: Advantages of foot on trailer jack?? You could get a caster with a 4 bolt flange for a mount. That way, all your have to do is drill some holes and bolt it on, if you wanted to remove it, unbolt it. Simple.

Re: Advantages of foot on trailer jack?? The foot is bc a heavy trailer will sink that skinny little wheel into soft ground, especially when loaded.

Re: Advantages of foot on trailer jack?? If you repace it with a roller it will take longer for you to realize you have not lifted it when you take off.

Re: Advantages of foot on trailer jack?? The flat foot slides pretty easy if it's not loaded too heavy on the tongue. Try it before you modify it.
