Crazy. The week I get my boat in my hunting buddies disappear. Funny how they show up just before opening season. Had to unload the boat. Flip it over to paint the bottom, Camo the sides, turn over once again. Finally lift the boat on to the trailer. All done with one motor crane. |

Sucks having so called buddies that always dissapear when there is work to do. Being a solo hunter is much easier, or get some new friends that will give some help when needed.. |

When I had a small boat I always three or four guys who wanted to go... Now that I got one big enough to bring a few friends, they're all MIA. Im about to start building my portable blinds and things for the season and all of them just seem to be tied up. I'm sure they won't mind hunting out of the cover I've built though ![]() This is the same reason I normally have two beer coolers when they are around haha.... One for mine and one for the rest of mine that I don't mind giving away ![]() |

You guys need to learn how to explain things to your friends or quit hanging around with bums. I have 2 fellows who comes with me and it seems like I hardly never have to buy beer or gas for the boat. They even offer to pull my boat to the water. Get new friends or maybe start getting benefits on the side from their wives. |

I have a few of those "friends" as well but truthfully, I do not mind. I would rather do it myself at my own pace and to the quality that I want. Plus, when hunting season comes around I don't feel beholden to them and I do what I want when I want. Had a partner on the old boat, which worked out okay, but the new one is a solo purchase! |

I think everyone with a duck boat fights that. I have a couple buddies that have "reserved" spots in the boat throughout the season, and others how get invites when an extra gun is needed or an extra hand would be useful getting to the spot. |
