Truck beds are awesome. And yours will run forever, but so will the excursion. I got an edge instead of a truck when I bought mine, and it'll tow a small or large trailer just fine for anything I don't want inside my vehicle. The flex is a nice car, better ride than the last explorer I got into, but that one was 2014 when that year model released. Either way, you won't be unhappy, cause I think the inside is basically the same seats and layout. |

100k less miles on the excursion...don't make em anymore. Will be hard to replace if you ever want another. Keep both. |

^^^^ this if you can swing it. Also, we're looking for the wife something too with another little one on the way. She's driven half ton trucks since she was 16, and were seriously considering a Durango this time around. Only RWD V8 (can get AWD) you can get that size, interiors are really nice and the dodge mileage isn't terrible. A hair better than our half ton GMC. I've never owned anything but GM and she hasn't either but we're seriously considering stepping outside the box this time around. |

How many times do you turn on the 4wd? How many times you find yourself needing the HD frame that the excursion wouldn't do? I absolutely hate replacing tires. I know I have to eventually, and cuss every time. I always wind up getting a vehicle that has a special size, or one there's only a couple models of tire. That alone just on concept tells me to vote for the excursion lmao. Plus I always wanted one since they came out, just could never justify it. |

Chaseh has a sweet excursion. They always catch my eye, just not sure I could do without a truck. Going the excursion route seems more logical if you don't need the truck. Or sell both and get what you want. |

The more I think about it, it is not cheap to put new tires on a diesel truck, especially 6 tires. Plus brakes. If you are okay with dropping the coin for that on your truck, I still say keep the truck. If you don't want to spend that kinda money into your truck, well, theres your answer. |

Ole Al Gore must be feeling good this morning. After he went to his usual church services, he checked to see how his invention was going and when he got to this forum, I know it made him feel good, that be inventing the internet, he was able to get people to quit thinking for themselves and go to his invention and see what others wanted them to do. People should know what is best for them, without having to come to the internet, but OBAMA has CHANGED a lot of people in his few years. ![]() ![]() |

Take both of them to the ford dealer and see what they offer you for each. That might be the deal maker or breaker right there. |

Dave, whatever you do, you're going to end up with a pickup truck. Know that going in. Whether you keep yours, or hold onto the Excursion and sell it after a year. And the latter MAY be the way to go, depending on how the deal works out and what you can get for each. But by the end, you won't keep the Excursion for very long. I had an SUV for a little while and it just doesn't work out well if you've become used to a truck. |

Frog, In Alaska a 7.3....any 7.3 is like gold. The dealers can't get them and when they do they are immediately sold. I realize it's a long way up here, but you might look at Alaska list or Craigs list. You or a buyer may decide the trip is worth it. |

Frog, keep both. Just park one and put fire and theft (storage) insurance on until you need it on the road. Can never have enough spare vehicles especially if they are paid off |
