 Crack in skeg!!
Cleaning boat the up after hunting this weekend and noticed a crack in the skeg of my two month old Prodrive. It is about 2.5 in. long. Ran in shallow water with sand bottom at the Wax, don't remember hitting anything. Has anyone else had this problem?

 Re: Crack in skeg!!
thats not anything to worry about. just keep an eye on it because it is your rudder. the hole is there to keep it from cracking but does not work very well as you can see. this is normaly caused from hitting a stump or submerged tree.

 Re: Crack in skeg!!
I want to say that hole is one of many and it is there for the installation of the rock guard. Mine stock skeg cracked the same way. I just drill a 1/4" hole at the end of the crack and kept on truckin. The new hole will stop it from going any farther.

 Re: Crack in skeg!!
I just went out and checked mine. It's cracked exactly like that. I guess I will be tending to that next chance I get.

 Re: Crack in skeg!!
Just drill a hole at the end of the crack and that should stop it from going further.
