Hey fellas, Looking for some creative suggestions on how I can apply GG to my boat without having access to any lifts/cranes etc. I will have a winch on the boat eventually (next week or so). What about taking it to a ramp and loading the boat across the trailer painting accessible areas and waiting for the layers to cure then move it around until you hit the whole bottom all while staying in the lot? Creative ideas are welcome. Also what type of shops have y'all had experience with having them either paint the boat for you or give you a hand getting it lifted? I'm in the Raleigh area if any would like to lend a hand, I'd be happy to take you out on a hunt (not in Raleigh ha). Thanks, Patrick |

Leave it on the trailer and lift the front with a $30 chain hoist you can work from under the trailer for safety and I suggest back up safety line. |

Thanks Frog. How do you keep the stern of the boat from sliding off the trailer once lifted? |

Here are some pics when I to my old Ski barge off the trailer to replace the bunks. Slide your boat back off the trailer enough to get the jack stands under the back of the boat, let the trailer jack down as far as it will go, this will raise the back of the boat. Then put the jack stands under the back of the boat as tight as you can. Next jack the trailer back up as high as you can. Hook a strap to the bow eye and let the trailer back down and pull the trailer out. You can do this under a tree with a big limb. |
