How bout this test.... Gigafowl and GD vs WestEndAngler and GTR.. This could also settle the old question of what type of chine is the best...

we have a 115 etec on an old manatee v-hull. before the storm we had a 115 suzuki on it after we put a 115 etec. no comparison!!!! hands down the etec is a lighter faster more powerful motor and was well worth it. if i ever got a mm hull and put a regular motor on it for redfishing sport. it would have an etec. |

my neighbor commercial fishes, he said he had two brand new etecs, and he went through several different powerheads. i heard alot about powerheads with those motors. i dont think i would own one. but...the yamaha 4 stroke is junk. i bet they wouldnt do that with the two stroke. cool vid tho |

E-Tec is a 2 stroke engine producing a great hole shot.The Yamaha 4 stroke has no hole shot.I will believe the E-Tec is a bad mofo when they tie it up against a Yamaha V-Max 2 stroke.I have also heard and seen a fence line lined up with blown power heads off the E-Tec engines. |
