23 LT or 23 SD which new motor?
Guys I'm ordering a mud motor next month. I have a 16x36 bateau . My environment either will be fine. My choices are the backwater swamp or the mud buddy Reviews : cons of each

Id say a little skinny for the weight of a SD IMO but a long tail would move it just fine. It depends on the money you want to spend a SD would move that thing really good and you can always upgrade to a wider boat in the future

If speed isn't a big deal, go with the lt. It's a bit more work driving it when it's shallow, but it's simpler (means less to break) and cheaper (which is a biggie to some people).

i think i would look at a copperhead SD.... same power, less weight, cheaper than the MB and they do real well on that kinda rig...
