 GTR front cover screws
I've got a question about these...
I was going to take the cover off to look for wires that might be scraped or whatever might be making mine backfire...i was in a hurry and didn't realize i had to undo the choke part...so when i went back to screw in these little plastic doobies, they wouldn't tighten or hold...anybody else experience this and what did you do. Oh, yeah, i got a Marsh Mellow on the way!! Woody

 Re: GTR front cover screws
They are not like a regular screw. If you turn it one way it's unlocked and the other way it's locked. It's a pretty simple deal. Look on the backside of the screw, there is a lil plastic thingy that keeps it from backing out, yours might be broke if it won't stay tight.

 Re: GTR front cover screws
I pulled my front plastic cover off once to work on the motor. Tried to tighten the screws back up, and they never did get tight. They just kept turning, and turning...
Left it the way it was and have over 75 hours on it since I messed with those screws and they are still in there. Not sure if they are supposed to get tight or not...

 Re: GTR front cover screws
It has a tension lock with stop and a rubber spacer in the middle- take it off and see if its hung up or misaligned or the lock is broken.
