Lol its my motor and I think the whole thing is funny ! wont be much to fixing the handle, seems like the bruise on my leg would ve softened the blow some. I've hit alot of stumps with this motOr as well as my mb, but this is a first for me. And I certainly wont be the one to argue the "rough on shit" part not with a straight face anyway

Btw, Blue, we've all seen mudbuddies, gatortails, copperheads, and even an occasional Dixie make runs like that or similar without breaking. And we've seen plenty of broken motors too. We were simply trolling each other for entertainment. And you had to go and bring a video into it....

You guys are funny ..... Your talking about a tough motor and pushing a belt driven motor. As with most belt driven things, belt driven motors are cheap to produce, easy to adjust, but fail when the going gets tough.

how many of you have had a belt fail? If they fail its probably from poor maintenance(under or over tightening) the belts in the mAjor brands are nearly indestructible.

Bink, you got a lot to learn... Be glad I sold my Prodrive, I'd show you what they can really do. Other than mud, I'd take a PD anyday over the rest. BTW, you can make a PD handle float but if you know how to drive it, the rigid handle is an advantage.

True, but I never have damaged any of my gears. They Make them heavy duty.

With earlier version of the belt drives, I have been stuck in Caddo. Maybe they have improved with time, I haven't tried them for 6 years. For slick mud, I see no problem for belts. Bet you won't catch me running stump areas 5 miles from the dock in the dark in a belt drive motor. I got that tee-shirt. You guys can have a couple mph and cheaper motor. I want to get home when I hit something bad.

Try one. stumps in the dark 5 miles from launch is all I do with my belt drive. And as far as I know' they arent cheaper, at least not by much, than gear driven. I have owned(own) both and like both for different reasons . but if I had to have one it would be belt driven. Im not here to hate on any brand, I love mud motors in general. But what you are saying about belt drives isnt exactly accurate

I agree. I considered getting a PD , so I don't dislike them. if your afraid to leave that far away from your dock in a belt drive you prolly shouldn't own a mud motor period lol far more shit can and will go wrong with a mud motors o matter the brand !

They all break, we broke a skegg on a gatortail , bend a godevil frame and broke a mudbuddy frame lol and im sure will break more of them.
