I have heard that if you run this exhaust on a stock motor that it'll burn the cylinder heads up or something or another. What do i need to be looking for or do i need to get rid of the exhaust and go with another. I don't need to tear this motor up if i can prevent it. Really like the way it sounds in all but if its going to hurt the motor i don't need it.

ive never heard of anything like that happening...it wouldnt matter if it was a gatortail PD GD or MB cuz they're all the same block...

The only down fall, is if you have the exhaust on when you need warranty work. So, just save your stock exhaust.

Folks been running them hard for a couple years now and I never heard of the exhaust itself causing problems for the motor.

your exhaust is fine...run it till it falls off.............nevermind...thats a hopkin exhaust im thinkin of

that reverse would hav to be putting off some serious heat for taht cover to melt!

You have to send your exhaust to some other shop other than EVT to get it warrantied I heard.

why would u need warranty work on a muffler

when I changed my heads to those stage 3 heads one of the stock heads were cracked between the valves all they way to the gide. Not sure if it was a casting flaw or b/c I was running the EVT exhaust. Either way that head was fuked, it was blowing exhaust gas into the intake.

oh ok just wouldnt think they would need much work..could possibly need a brace ..looks like they just hang there off the head bolts
