Was ready to head back to the ramp this morning and bam sounded like a bunch of bolts in my houseing, got out and checked the motor and found this. Dont know what caused it, ran all morning just fine and as I was just getting on plane when it broke.... No clue how the prop broke (it is a rebuild) but my best guess for everything else is when the prop went it went so out of ballance it broke everything. Can the houseing be rewelded since the crack is on the weld? Any clue on how much a houseing and LU is? Highly doubt that's warranty but don't know till I call. Cast is toast for sure but I'm wondering if the houseing can be rewelded since the weld is where it broke in the first place |

I'm no longer using GT props... Made that decision when they were all slinging this summer. Sucks to see though man! Hopefully it all gets ironed out! |

Thanks tad, appreciate it. Just got off the phone with GT and All I can say is top notch customer service..shell be back up and running Monday or Tuesday, I just gotta buy a new prop. Anyone got one they wanna sell?

Saw one just like this at the berwick boat landing today around 11am. Only saw the prop, the guy drove off b4 I could get a look at the new lower end. Hope it wasn't cracked up like this one. |

Picked it up and went on my way with it today. Paid for the prop, hooked it up and rolled out. They even went as far as tightening my reverse leaver and replaced my whole trim pump as well. (It would go up fast and down slow) this couldn't have happened at a worse time, opening week of duck season. But i couldn't be more happy with the customer service from GT and Hardin county tractor that worked on it. Everything looks and runs great and the turn around time from them was amazing. I dropped it off Monday and it was ready yesterday, just couldn't get to it till today. Gt also sent me their newest prop, a 10 1/2 pitch. So far it seems great. |
